STANDARD CRESCENT SCHOOL (SCS)

SCS an English Medium Junior High School, was established in the year 2007 at Qazipura, Bahraich District of Uttar Pradesh with the motive of providing modern and quality education inclusive of moral values to children, especially for the betterment of weaker section of the society. It is recognized by U.P. Board and is an approved Minority institute. Simple online teaching techniques and tools are successfully adopted by the qualified teaching staff during the current lockdown due to Corona virus pandemic. Using digital technology for remote learning and with the right knowledge, teachers and parents have embraced these possibilities.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

Apart from daily morning assembly, the school’s assembly hall is used for various other activities like

1. Physical fitness and indoor games.

2. Various competitive programmes such as quiz, debate, conversation, talent exposure, stage performance etc.

3. Exhibition of art, craft, science and model making etc.

4. Literary programs – Monthly Literary meets are organized under the banner of ‘Gulshan-e-Rooh-e-Adab’ to provide students, staff, parents and Urdu/Hindi lovers, to listen and learn Urdu/Hindi poetry from eminent poets and scholars.

SCS Preschool Curriculum (For Pre-Nursery, Nursery, LKG, UKG) involves the following principles:

Library:

In order to develop reading habits amongst the children, the school has established a reading library, known as ‘Hazrat Ali Library’, which comprises of latest story books, novels and reading material carefully selected by teachers keeping in mind the various age groups of children. A collection of illustrated books specially written for the English medium students are provided to the students, right from Nursery onwards.

SCS INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITIES:

With the sincere efforts of the school Principal, and a much capable teaching staff, classes from Pre Nursery to standard VIII are running in a double storied building. SCS comprises of 25 airy class rooms, a Library (Hazrat Ali Library) and a large assembly hall (Munawwar Hall). Provision for safe drinking water and toilets has also been made and fire extinguishers have been installed.

Communal Harmony Campaign Week:

Organized each year from 19th November to 25th November with the theme “Unity in diversity of India”. Debates, essay writing competitions, skits, play roles, painting competitions, patriotic songs and poetry competitions are held. Raksha bandhan is celebrated in the school among students and teachers.

Financial support:

For students from underprivileged section and differently abled children of the society. The school is aspiring to be an important seat of learning in Bahraich. SCS holds the ‘Minority Status Certificate’ from National Commission for minority educational Institutions, New Delhi. .

Maulana Azad Computer laboratory

Computer Knowledge is compulsory for all SCS students beyond the age of 7 years.
